About

I am Yuteng Shen, a final-year undergraduate student in Artificial Intelligence at Nanjing University.

I see myself as someone who likes to widen the boundary of my understanding a little at a time, while focusing on work that can create real value in practice. My current interests are centered on agent training and post-training for practical AI systems.

Over the past year, I have worked as an algorithm engineer intern at Tencent and Huawei. Those experiences pushed me toward problems at the boundary of model quality and system reliability: reducing hallucinations, improving training stability, and making evaluation pipelines useful for real product iteration.

Education

  • Nanjing University, B.Eng. in Artificial Intelligence, expected 2026
  • Relevant coursework: Machine Learning, Advanced Machine Learning, Data Structures and Algorithm Analysis

Working Style

  • I tend to ask everything, because good questions often reveal the real structure of a problem.
  • I like to work the way RL training often improves: get the evaluation signal first, then keep asking why, where the error comes from, and what the next iteration should change.
  • I prefer work at the edge of my current ability, where iteration through practice teaches me more than staying inside familiar tasks.
  • I care about reliable feedback loops and visible gains, rather than ideas that look elegant but do not change much in practice.

Outside Core Project Work

I know that I still have many immature parts because my working experience is limited. That is exactly why I value challenging environments and concrete problems: they force me to grow in ways that reading alone cannot.

I also contribute fixes to open source training frameworks and share technical reflections through public writing. Both habits help me keep learning in a way that stays concrete and transferable.
